Mathewson McCarthy Baseball is committed to offering both house league and tournament play opportunities to players across WNY.  While our house season runs from May to early July, our tournament teams compete all season long with a majority of the games and tournaments scheduled in mid-July through August.

Starting at the 8U level all of the way up to 18U, players are selected to represent Mathewson McCarthy in tournaments as the MMB Bandits. Player selection is based on a player’s ability as demonstrated in try-outs. While playing ability is the major consideration, sportsmanship, conduct, attitude, and ability to get along with others are traits considered when selecting tournament players.  Players will be selected to participate on either our Black team or our Blue team at any age group for tournament play.

Mathewson McCarthy Baseball recognizes that it is important for every player’s development and well-being to play multiple different sports throughout the year. In order to ensure that players develop their baseball skills while also leaving ample time to participate in other sports, tournament teams commonly practice less often during the off-season at one of any number of local indoor facility during the winter.
